The River Bend Police Department’s Community Service Division (CSD) is staffed by officers who are trained in Community Oriented Policing (C.O.P.) and dedicated to strengthening relationships between the department and the community. While every officer participates in community‑relations efforts, the division collectively serves as the department’s public‑facing resource for outreach, engagement, and education.
Officers within the Community Service Division use town events, public gatherings, and group activities to promote a positive image of the department and foster meaningful connections with residents. The division ensures enhanced collaboration between the community and the police department through programs such as the River Bend Community Watch. Officers assigned to the division serve as the direct liaison between the department and Community Watch, supporting communication, coordination, and shared safety initiatives.
