After Hours Water/Sewer Emergencies

If you have a water/sewer emergency during normal business hours (M-F, 8-4) call Town Hall at 252-638-3870 then press 0.

If no one answers, you may leave a message, and we will call you back.

Or you can call again at 252-638-3870 and choose another extension. Anyone who answers the telephone at Town Hall will be able to assist you. Remember, we may be on the phone or with another customer at the time of your call. We will respond as soon as possible.

If you have an after-hours water/sewer emergency, you can reach our on-call technician by calling 252-464-4328.

This is a pager system. An automated voice will say- “Enter your numeric message now.” After hearing that prompt, enter your 10-digit phone number. After you enter your phone number, you will hear- “Message sent. Good bye”. After you hear “good bye”, simply hangup. The system will send the telephone number that you entered to our on-call technician. You should receive a call within 10 minutes. Please wait 10 minutes for a call.

If you do not hear back from the on-call technician within 10 minutes, call 252-638-1108, then press 1 when the outgoing message begins. That is the number for the on-call officer for the River Bend Police Department. If they do not answer, simply leave a message and they will call you back or direct your message to the appropriate staff member.
