Come join us for a Hurricane Preparedness workshop on August 31 at 3 p.m. in the Municipal Building located at 51 Shoreline Drive. The presenter will be Erik Heden, who is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Forecast Office in Newport. Craven County Emergency Services Director, Stanley Kite will also be speaking.
Hurricane Season officially began on June 1, but typically September and October are some of the most active months for tropical storm development in our area. Come learn about how to be better prepared in severe weather.
