The Town of River Bend & The Community Appearance Commission (CAC) will host the annual Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
The event is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.
- Bat house workshop
- Collaborative clean up with the CAC, Environmental/Waterways Advisory Board (EWAB), and Scouts
- Refreshments
Join us at the picnic shelter located beside Town Hall.
In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved inside the River Bend Municipal Building at 51 Shoreline Drive.
2026 River Bend Arbor Day Celebration hosted by the Community Appearance Commission and joined by EWAB and Scouting America Troops
Location: River Bend Town Hall Pavilion (in case of rain we will meet in the Municipal Building)
Time: 9 AM until 1 PM
9:00 AM Introductions and welcome to the River Bend Arbor Day Celebration
9:15 AM Special Guest from the NC Forestry Service
9:30 AM Reading of the Arbor Day Tree City USA proclamation
9:45 AM Arbor Day Tree Planting (behind Municipal Building)
10:00 AM Bat house workshop (participants will make a bat house to take home and hang)
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM Environmental Waterways Advisory Board and Scouts joint cleanup project around River Bend ponds and canals (everyone is invited to help out)
Come join the celebration for some family fun and education, make a bat house to take home, and get involved in the cleanup. It's all free! Light refreshments will be available. See you there!
