OFFICIAL WEB SITE
The contractors on this list have provided proof of insurance to the Town of River Bend. We suggest that you do not hire a contractor who does not display the Town issued permit which will be printed on bright yellow paper and will display the official Town seal printed in red ink. This permit in no way guarantees the reliability or performance of the contractor. It simply means that they have registered with the Town and have produced proof of insurance.
CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL
The Town of River Bend is designating a location for you to recycle your live Christmas tree. The trees will be hauled by volunteers to Emerald Isle to assist with sand dune re-nourishment. You can deliver your tree to the designated area which is located near the Town’s kayak launch site on Gull Pointe. Make sure that all items are removed from the tree. For obvious reasons, the tree must be in an “all natural” state.

Welcome to River Bend!
Small in size, and young in age, the Town of River Bend is living proof that great things come in small packages. Chartered in 1981, River Bend offers a variety of housing styles, with many homes offering waterfront on the Trent River and Plantation Canal, or along the fairways of the privately owned River Bend Country Club. A progressive community of approximately 3,100 residents, the Town of River Bend is a great place to visit, and even a better place to live.
We invite you to visit our community. Located in Eastern North Carolina, River Bend offers boaters the opportunity to cruise the Trent River or make your way to the Intra-coastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. Recreational opportunities including golf, hiking, fishing, biking, and beach access are within or just a short drive from the tranquility of River Bend. Just a few miles away is the historic City of New Bern, offering shopping, dining, and other amenities. Spend a little time with us and you will see why people enjoy calling River Bend their home.
I extend this welcome from the River Bend Town Council and our citizens. River Bend is a residential community that has a private golf course which was central to the Town’s development. River Bend also has a navigable canal and frontage on the Trent River. Home buyers will find a wide variety of home architecture and a corresponding range of home prices in River Bend. Many first time visitors remark that they find River Bend to be a very attractive community.
Our police department patrols 24/7. River Bend employs well-trained professionals to operate our own water and wastewater utilities. You can read in detail about the utilities on our Water and Wastewater web page. The members of the Council and the Town staff work as a team to provide professional service to residents.
Come visit us and, if you are searching for a new home in this mild climate southern state, our hope is that you might consider River Bend.
