Community Watch

Community Watch was designed to enhance collaboration between our residents and our police department. It enhances the work of the police department and is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors and your neighborhood.

If you can walk, jog, ride a bike or drive a car you are the perfect candidate to become a member of Community Watch. Traveling around the community while watching for and reporting any suspicious activity will allow our Police Department to focus on other major issues while ready to support you if needed. Attendees at our three times a year Community Watch meetings (dates and times are on town calendar) are always welcome but you don’t have to wait until the next meeting to become an active member.

Contact Jim Kelly at 252-772-5392 or Egon Lippert at 252-617-0179 at any time if you have questions or want to join. For your identification and safety, we’ll provide you with a t-shirt, a hat and a vest. Car window flags and magnetic Community Watch car plaques for motorized patrol are available at our Public Works building.
