Animal Control
The Town of River Bend requires that all dogs and cats
“kept, harbored, maintained, or cared for” in Town to be
licensed. In order to purchase a license, the person
registering the animal must provide proof that the dog or
cat has a current rabies vaccination. Licenses are available
for purchase at the Town Hall. The current license fee is
$6.00.
Our Public Works staff serves as our animal control
officers and picks up stray dogs and cats and transports
them to the Animal Shelter. If your dog or cat wanders
away, you are encouraged to notify the Police Department.
